The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued an official statement addressing a fake news article circulating on social media platforms and websites. The misleading reports claim that AICTE is distributing free laptops to students.

AICTE categorically denies any association with such a scheme, clarifying that no circular, notification, or official communication regarding free laptop distribution has been released by the council. The organization emphasized that the purported step-by-step guide mentioned in these fake claims is entirely fraudulent and not based on any official policy or action of AICTE.

AICTE strongly advises students, institutions, and the public to disregard these false reports. The council urges everyone not to share personal information or make any payments in response to such misleading advertisements.
