The Telangana and AP governments declared high alert in the states due to heavy rains.
The Hyderabad collector announced school holidays for all government and private schools on Monday due to heavy rains. Earlier, Telangana CS Shanti Kumari also alerted all district collectors to be cautious and take necessary decisions if the rains do not stop.

AP CM Chandra Babu also asked to announce school holidays for both government and private schools in the districts where alerts were issued due to heavy rains.
