School Children Gift Walking Bridge at Meedikunta Lake to the Community

Hyderabad, 14th November 2024 – Students of Fountainhead Global School proudly inaugurated a newly constructed walking bridge at Meedikunta Lake on Children’s Day, offering it as a meaningful gift to the community and marking a significant milestone in their environmental efforts.

This project was made possible through funds raised during the Independence Day event on August 15, 2024, showcasing the collaborative spirit of the students and the NGO, Save Water And Nature.

Community members gathered for the occasion and commended the students for their consistent commitment to preserving the lake since its rejuvenation in 2020. Through ongoing cleanup drives and public awareness campaigns, the students have demonstrated their dedication to protecting this valuable natural resource.

The event was hosted by Mrs. Meghana Musunuri, Founder and Chairperson, and Mr. Sridhar Vunnam, Director of Fountainhead Global School. It highlighted the importance of student-led initiatives and environmental responsibility. The walking bridge aims to improve access to the lake and foster a deeper appreciation for the area’s natural beauty.
