SBI PO Career Scope
Those selected as SBI PO will receive Scale – 1 status after two years of training. Scale-2 cadre can be directly acquired by showing talent in the examination conducted after training.
Scale-2: Responsible as Deputy Manager in this capacity.
Scale-3: This is the manager level status
Scale – 4: Chief Manager
Scale-5: Assistant General Manager
Scale – 6: Deputy General Manager
Scale – 7: General Manager
It takes three to four years for each scale to be promoted. SBI conducts internal examinations for promotion.
Almost all of those selected as PO reach the level of Scale – 7. Excellent executive skills can earn top executive grade status beyond the above seven scales. Positions available in the top executive grade are Chief General Manager, Deputy Managing Director, Managing Director, Chairperson.
