School holidays for the 10th class exams in Andhra Pradesh, scheduled from March 18 to 30, were initially announced. However, the Education Department officials have retracted this decision, canceling the previously declared holidays.
Changes in school schedule
Instead, classes for students in grades 1 to 9 will be conducted from 1 pm to 5 pm during the examination period in schools designated as exam centers for the 10th class. District Education Officer K. Venkateswara Rao has advised schools to adhere to government directives and operate on a one-to-one basis.
Summer Vacation Update
While no official announcement has been made regarding summer vacation dates, there's a possibility schools might receive an extended break. The potential start date is April 24th, 2024, with a possible extension to June 13th, 2024. This would be a longer break compared to last year.
