Scholarships to Study in France

Every year, the French Embassy in India along with French
companies award scholarships totalling up to Rs. 7.1 crore to more than 300 meritorious young Indian graduates who wish to pursue their higher education in France.

As higher education in France is highly subsidized, French Universities charge minimal tuition fees, to French and International alike. Public and private “Grandes Écoles” (literally in French "Grand School" or "Elite School") also get funding from the State. Their tuition fees can be much lower than in other foreign institutions of similar academic standing.

If a student wishes to study in France, he/she will nevertheless have to plan a budget for room and board, medical insurance, internet access and other living expenses. Indian applicants with outstanding academic records, who seek financial support to study in France, have a number of funding options.
