Hyderabad, Telangana: Due to persistent heavy rainfall across Andhra Pradesh, many districts have been placed under red and orange alerts. As a result, several educational institutions in the affected areas will remain closed on Wednesday, October 16.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted continued heavy rainfall in the state for the next few days. Given the prevailing weather conditions, the district collectors of Prakasam, Nellore, and Chittoor have decided to close schools, colleges, and other educational institutions. Parents are advised to stay updated with the latest information from their respective school administrations regarding any further changes in the schedule.

Red Alert Due to Heavy Rains

 

The situation in Andhra Pradesh is currently severe due to heavy rains, disrupting daily life. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange alert for Prakasam district, warning of heavy rainfall, while other districts in the state are expected to experience light to moderate rains.

District collectors in the affected areas have declared holidays for schools, colleges, and other educational institutions. This comes shortly after the Dussehra holidays, further interrupting students' education.
