CTET Syllabus

CTET Paper-1 Syllabus: (Grades 1 to 5)

  • Child Development, Teaching – 30 Questions – 30 Marks
  • Language‌ – 1–30 Questions – 30 Marks
  • Language‌ – 2–30 Questions – 30 Marks
  • Mathematics‌ – 30 questions – 30 marks
  • Environmental Studies – 30 questions – 30 marks
  • A total of 150 questions – 150 marks will be tested.

CTET Paper-2 Syllabus (For Instructors of Grades 6 to 8):

  • Child Development, Teaching –30 Questions –30 Marks;
  • Language‌ – 1–30 questions – 30 marks;
  • Language‌ – 2–30 questions– 30 marks;
  • Mathematics ‌ and Science – 60 questions – 60 marks; Or
  • Social Studies‌ – 60 questions – 60 marks;
  • A total of 150 questions – 150 marks will be tested.

CTET 2021 Preparation Guidance

Most of the candidates who have completed DED / BED in Telugu states have experience in writing ‘TET’. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CET) syllabus is similar to the TET syllabus. In addition to the subjects in the CTET, skill related questions are also asked. Candidates should be prepared accordingly. Take a look at the syllabus and plan accordingly. CTET aspirants should collect previous question papers and note what kind of questions are being asked from the content, psychology, methodology. Assess the level of questions. Identify important topics in the test perspective and devote some more time to them. CTET is only available online. So it is useful to practice model papers accordingly.
