Here’s a summary of the recent update for the 20th Edition of CTET Examination:

Revised Dates: Initially scheduled for December 1, 2024, now revised to December 14, 2024 (Saturday). If necessary, the exam may also be conducted on December 15, 2024 (Sunday).

Reason for Change: Overlap with other competitive exams in certain states/union territories on December 15.

Application Dates: The online application process started on September 17, 2024, and the last date for submission is October 16, 2024 (11:59 PM).

Locations: The exam will be held in 136 cities across the country.

Guidelines: All other guidelines remain the same as mentioned in the Information Bulletin.

CTET Paper-1 exam will be for 150 marks in five sections.

Child Development and Pedagogy 30 questions-30 marks;
Language-1: 30 Questions-30 Marks;
Language-2: 30 Questions-30 Marks;
Mathematics 30 questions-30 marks;
Environmental Studies will be of 30 questions-30 marks.

CTET Paper-2 will be conducted for 150 marks in duration of two and half hours. The examination will be completely objective in all the five sections.

Language 2: 30 questions-30 marks;
Mathematics/ Science 60 questions-60 marks; (OR) Social Studies /Social Science 60 Questions- 60 Marks Examination
In Language-1 category candidates have to appear in the medium in which they want to teach. A total of 20 languages are available.
