CBSE conducts CTET Paper I for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V and Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Child Development and Pedagogy 30 questions-30 marks;
Language-1: 30 Questions-30 Marks;
Language-2: 30 Questions-30 Marks;
Mathematics 30 questions-30 marks;
Environmental Studies will be of 30 questions-30 marks.

CTET Paper-2 will be conducted for 150 marks in duration of two and half hours. The examination will be completely objective in all the five sections.

In Language-1 category candidates have to appear in the medium in which they want to teach. A total of 20 languages are available.
