Many higher educational institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh have achieved the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranks in this academic year as well.
In engineering and pharmacy departments, this time more organizations than before are at the forefront in achieving ranks. This is the NIRF for Higher Education Institutions of the country by Union Ministry of Education taking ten items as standardThe ranks are declared annually. In these two categories, institutions belonging to AP have been selected more than ever before. On the other hand, Andhra University, which achieved a score in the overall category, got a place in the top 100. Andhra University (Visakhapatnam) secured 71st rank with 47.97 score points. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released these NIRF-2022 ranks on July 15. 1,875 organizations competed for these ranks across the country. In the category of universities, 5 institutions in AP got these ranks. Andhra University has secured the 36th rank with a score of 50.52 and Sri Venkateswara University (Tirupati) has secured the 67th rank with a score of 45.07. Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada stood alone and secured the 94th position in the colleges category.

Increased ranks in 'Engineering' category
This time the state got more ranks in the engineering colleges category. In 2021, six institutions in AP got a place, this time the number increased to ten. Government institutions Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati secured the 56th rank with a score of 48.16, AU College of Engineering (Visakhapatnam) secured the 77th rank with a score of 42.76, and JNTU Kakinada secured the 129th rank with a score of 37.79. Indian Institute of Management, a national educational institution in Visakhapatnam, has been ranked 33rd in the management category. The state got nine ranks in the pharmacy category. Government institutions Acharya Nagarjuna University College of Science (Guntur) got 51st rank, Sri Padmavathi Mahila University, Tirupati got 66th rank and Sri Venkateswara University got 89th rank.
