According to the amendments, students could have study abroad experience while taking a course in India. These steps will benefit the Indian students and fulfill the vision of the National Education Policy by helping them with quality education for the students.
The UGC Chairman further shared that Indian and foreign higher educational institutions need to sign an MoU to establish collaboration for the joint and dual degree programmes.
In the case of joint degree programmes, degrees will be provided by the Indian higher educational institute. However, degrees can be provided by both Indian and foreign educational institutions in the case of a dual degree programme.
