The Maharashtra government is set to reduce the passing marks for Class 10 Mathematics and Science from 35 to 20 out of 100, offering relief to struggling students. While the current pass mark stands at 35%, the exact revised figure is yet to be finalized.

Not Eligible for Mathematics and Science Courses

However, students passing with these lower marks will be noted as ineligible to pursue further studies that require Mathematics and Science. This change, proposed by the SCERT, is aimed at helping students interested in Arts and Commerce streams and is expected to take effect in the 2025-26 academic year. This initiative has received positive feedback from educators and academics.
