ASCI: Women Leadership Health Sector Initiative
IN ASSOCIATION WITH UDAITI FOUNDATION, DASRA AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF COLLEGE OF INDIA
An event on Women in Leadership –Health sector(WIL-H)Initiative,focused on addressing the crucial issue of gender gap in leadership within the health sector was conducted at the Administrative Staff College of India, CPC,Banjara hills campus on 2nd September 2023, in association with the Udaiti foundation, DASRA ,catalytic corps and Dr.KakarlaSubba Rao Centre for Healthcare Management,ASCI.
The session witnessed stalwarts as panelist and participants from the healthcare and hospital sectors across India ,who shared their valuable experiences .
The session was opened by Dr .NirmalyaBaghchi , The Director General and Director of PGDM program ASCI, who emphasized the importance and relavance of this event and congratulated all the panelist ,associates and participants too.Esteemed speakers who provided the opening remarks include Ms. ShailjaMehta,Director of Dasra,Dr. Yamini Atmavilas,President –Strategy and Research at the Udaiti Foundation , Dr. Subodh Kandamuthan ,Dean and Centre Director, PGDM ( Hospital management ), Dr.KakarlaSubba Rao Centre for Healthcare Management,ASCI ,where each one of them highlighted the importance of women leadership in healthcare domain .
This was followed by two insightful presentations , one by Ms. ShriyaSethi,Senior Expert and Director,Centre for Social Impact,Mckinsey&Co.,where she pointed out thesubsectors to focus on ,which roles to priortise and what all can be the barriers to address for leadership roles for women in healthcare.The second presentation by Mr. Angad Bagai,Team Lead and Ms. Devaki,Senior technical specialist from the udaiti foundation on a menu of solutions to accelerate women leadership in healthcare.
Panel discussion one :Learning from the Women leaders experiences, had experienced panelists who discussed and shared the key factors contributing to success in leadership roles for women in healthcare as well as their career journeys and challenges they overcame and attained success.
Panel Discussion two : Industry Intiatives to promote Womens Leadership : sector perspectives, where distinguished speakers focused on the initiates that are taken to promote and accelerate the career trajectory and lead to sound and effective leadership roles for women in the Healthcare sector. Gender equity at the forefront of healthcare leadership is not just a matter of addressing gender imbalance.Sessions like these create a very positive impact and awareness amongst masses.
