ఇరాన్ కొత్త అధ్యక్షుడిగా సంస్కరణవాది మసౌద్‌ పెజెష్కియాన్ గెలుపొందినట్టు ఆ దేశ అంతర్గత వ్యవహారాల శాఖ వెల్లడించింది. పెజెష్కియాన్ 1.7 కోట్లకు పైగా ఓట్లు సాధించగా.. ప్రత్యర్థి అభ్యర్థి అతి సంప్రదాయవాద నేత సయీద్‌ జలిలికి 1.3 కోట్లకు పైగా ఓట్లు వచ్చాయి. అధ్యక్షుడు ఇబ్రహీంరైసీ ఈ ఏడాది మేలో హెలికాప్టర్‌ ప్రమాదంలో మరణించడంతో ఈ ఎన్నికలు అనివార్యమయ్యాయి.
