Winter School Holidays 2024-25
Here's the list of holidays as announced by some states in India. Please note that these dates may be adjusted depending on severe weather conditions.
Delhi:
- Winter break from January 1st to 15th, 2025.
- Schools will also be closed on Christmas Day (December 25th).
Uttar Pradesh:
- Winter school holidays from December 25th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, is expected.
- An official announcement from the state authorities is awaited.
Punjab:
- The Punjab Education Department has officially announced winter school holidays from December 24th to 31st, 2024.
- The duration of the break may be extended based on prevailing weather conditions.
Haryana:
- The state government is yet to announce the official winter vacation dates.
- Based on last year's schedule, holidays may be declared from January 1st to 15th, 2025.
Jammu and Kashmir:
- To ensure student safety during the harsh winter months, schools have announced extended holidays:
- Classes up to 5th: December 10th, 2024, to February 28th, 2025.
- Classes 6th to 12th: December 16th, 2024, to February 28th, 2025.
Online Classes
Schools in Gurugram and Faridabad (Haryana) have transitioned to hybrid learning models due to air pollution concerns, following guidelines issued by the state government.
