EAMCET 2022 Counselling: First Phase Seat Allotment Released

As a part of TS EAMCET counselling 2022, the details of allotment of the first phase of engineering admissions for MPC stream were released on September 6.

All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has given approval for the filling up of 1,11,147 seats in the engineering colleges of Telangana state. Out of this, more than 96 thousand seats have been given supplementary recognition by the respective universities. There are 65,633 seats in the convener quota. The notification for their allotment was issued in the month of August.

The TS EAMCET 2022 counselling process was started from August 21. The exercising of the first phase of options ended on September 3. The allotment of seats were released on September 6 based on the options chosen by the students. However, various engineering colleges have applied to universities for about 9 thousand additional seats in various courses. If they are approved, the seats under the convener's quota will be made available in addition.

High Engineering Fee
Tuition fees in the colleges have been increased for TS EAMCET admissions in 2022. The High Court has recently issued an order in this regard. In CBIT Rs.1.73 lakh, Vasavi, Vardaman, CVR, BVRIT Women's Colleges Rs.1.55 lakhs, Shrinidhi, VNR Vignan Jyoti College Rs.1.50 lakhs and MVSR Rs.1.45 lakhs fee structure has been approved. It is informed that the students who have got admissions in the respective colleges will have to pay hiked fee.

Similarly, BC and EBC students who have crossed 10,000 rank in TS EAMCET will be burdened with fees. The fee payment deadline will be till Sep 13. However, regarding the increase in fees, the High Court has given only temporary permission to the colleges. Out of total 79 colleges, the tuition fee in 36 colleges is likely to be more than Rs. 1 Lakh. Meanwhile, the high court has made it clear that the increase charged by the colleges should be kept in the banks, until the final verdict is given by the High Court.
