The mionister said that 17 thousand police jobs in the state are under the process of recruiting. He said that another 2 thousand posts in police department will be filled soon. Minister Harish said that the government has taken steps to ensure that 95 percent of these jobs go to locals.

Physical fitness training camp classes are being conducted in four towns of the district as part of preparation for SI and constable jobs under the initiative of the minister. For 70 days from April this year, 1030 people were trained for SI and constable job candidates in Siddipet and Gajwel for the preliminary-written examination. More than 580 candidates qualified through training in this camp.

The government has decided to fill up 9,168 Group-4 vacancies in Telangana through the Telangana Public Service Commission in one go. Most of the posts in Group-4 category are Junior Assistant.

With the new zonal system in force in the state, changes will be made in the existing service rules accordingly. Until now, jobs were filled in the ratio of 80:20 in local and general categories, but now it will be done in the ratio of 95:5. In this order, the government is also making changes in the service rules to benefit the local candidates more. The new rules will be the basis for employees to get promotions and other benefits in future.
