The Andhra Pradesh government has made a surprising announcement for Intermediate students this year. Traditionally, schools and colleges in AP would close for summer holidays after the completion of annual exams, providing students with an extended break during April and May, with classes resuming in June. However, the latest announcement introduces significant changes in the schedule for the 2025–26 academic year.
AP Inter Colleges Summer Holidays 2025
The Education Department has decided to align the academic calendar with the CBSE system, starting second-year Intermediate classes from April 1, 2025. Here are the important updates:
- Inter 2nd year Classes will resume on April 1st and continue until April 22, 2025.
- Summer holidays will now be shortened, running from April 23 to June 1, 2025.
- This decision aims to streamline the academic schedule and better prepare students for national-level competitive exams.
