TG DSC 2024 Counselling Concluded: Postings Given to New Teachers

The Telangana Department of School Education has postponed the previously scheduled posting counseling for the recently recruited 10,006 teachers through the District Selection Committee (DSC) 2024 process. The counselling has taken place later from evening.

After a delay in TG DSC 2024 counselling process, the postings were given later in the evening to night. New teachers were asked to report in the schools today.

Preparatory Questions/Bit Banks for TET/DSC Exams

On March 1, the DSC notification was released for the recruitment of 11,062 posts, which include School Assistants, SGTs, and other teaching positions in government schools. A total of 2.45 lakh candidates appeared for this exam, conducted online from July 18 to August 5. The DSC merit list was published on September 30. For every post, three candidates were shortlisted and sent to the District Selection Committee. Within a week, document verification was completed, and the committee selected one candidate from each group. These selected candidates will now receive their appointment letters.

Recruitment of 10,006 Posts
Although the notification was issued for 11,062 teacher posts, only 10,006 posts are currently being filled. Some posts remain pending due to backlog decisions, legal issues, or a lack of suitable candidates. Around 700 candidates who qualified for both SGT and School Assistant positions were given the option to choose one. After consolidating the data, the final list was released.
