Mahesh Bhagwat, IPS: I failed due to lack of guidance
He has trained more than a thousand candidates to achieve Civils. In the latest 2020 Civil Services results, he mentored six people in the top 20 ranks (3, 8, 14, 18, 19, 20) and 19 out of 100 ranks. He is Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M. Bhagwat. On September 28, Telangana topper P Srija (20th rank), Kanaknala Rahul (218th rank) and P Gautami (317th rank) honored CP Mahesh Bhagwat at the Rachakonda Commissionerate office. On this occasion he was mesmerized and shared his views.
Problems I encountered...
I cleared UPSC Civils Mains in 1993. But failed in the interview due to lack of proper guidance. Fear of something unknown inside... I was mentally depressed. The second attempt was successful in 1994 under the guidance of local senior officers. I have been training since 2014 with the intention that today's youth will not face the difficulties I faced in order to succeed in the Civils interview.
When we are in trouble ...
Someone is respected when it comes to status. We need people to guide us when we are in trouble. Every single mark in Civils is also crucial. If 10 lakh people compete in the country every year, less than 800 will clear the exam. There is only one mark difference between the top 10 rankers.
Success cannot be achieved if these are not followed for the interview
The oral examination with 275 marks in Civils is very crucial. Attend the interview with complete confidence. Otherwise success cannot be achieved. That is why I will pay special attention to the topic of preparing for the interview. We are coaching for the interview for free for 3 to 4 months after the completion of the mains to instill confidence and morale in the candidates.
