The situation escalated further when the state president of the Disabled Rights Fighting Committee, Jangayya, alongside other disabled individuals, filed a formal complaint against Sabharwal at the Ibrahimpatnam police station. Their complaint demands legal action for her "inappropriate remarks."

Calls for Resignation and Action:

Adding to the pressure, Balalatha, an organizer, mentor, and coach for the IAS Academy, condemned Sabharwal's comments. She demanded Sabharwal's immediate resignation and urged authorities to take action in support of the disabled community.

Sabharwal's Defense:

Sabharwal responded to the backlash on her X account. She raised a question regarding the uneven application of the disability quota, pointing out its absence in sectors like IPS/IFoS and defense. Since IAS roles share similarities with these, she argued for consistency in quota implementation. Notably, she also stated that her stance prioritizes practicality and lacks "sensitivity."

The controversy surrounding Sabharwal's post remains unresolved. While she attempts to justify her stance, demands for her resignation and legal action continue to rise. The Chief Minister's response to the situation is also awaited.
