CM Jagan Review Meeting: Good news for the unemployed

AP CM YS Jagan held Review Meeting on Job Calendar. The remaining 8,000 posts in the job calendar to be filled soon.

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy reviewed the job calendar at the CM's camp office in Tadepalli. On this occasion, CM YS Jagan gave a comprehensive review with the officers on the year-long recruitment and posts to be filled. Officials reported the details of the posts recruited as part of the job calendar to CM Jagan. He comprehensively reviewed the ongoing recruitment in the backlog posts, APPSC, Medical, Health-Family Welfare, Higher Education etc.

Recruitment of 39,654 posts in 2021–22:

  • Officers revealed that 39,654 posts were filled in the year 2021–22.
  • 39,310 posts were recruited in the medical health department alone.
  • Of the 47,465 posts identified, 83.5 per cent were recruited in one year.
  • 16.5 per cent posts, i.e. about 8 thousand posts are yet to be recruited.
  • Of the posts to be recruited, 1198 posts are in the Medical Health Department

CM orders on recruitment...

  • We recruited 39,654 posts in the year 2021–22.
  • We have given permanent jobs to 1.26 lakh people in village and ward secretariats since the YSRCP came to power.
  • We have taken another 50,000 people into the government by merging the RTC into the government.
  • Large scale job creation has taken place in many branches like this.

CM Jagan directed the officers to take action on the recruitment of posts which are yet to be filled in the posts prescribed in the job calendar. CM Jagan directed the officers to fill the remaining posts in the medical health department by the end of this month, associate professor posts in the higher education department by September and posts in the APPSC by March.

All measures should be taken to recruit these posts within the stipulated time. "We are spending a lot of money on education and medicine and running hospitals and schools," he said. It is not appropriate to leave blanks here. If not recruited, the people will not get their benefits, said CM Jagan.

CM Jagan clarified that decisions should be taken to ensure transparency and efficiency in the recruitment of teaching posts in higher education. Appointments should be made transparently to both regular and contract posts. CM YS Jagan directed the authorities to prepare proposals for this.

Action plan on police recruitment:
CM Jagan also directed the officers to formulate an action plan on the recruitment of police personnel. He said the police and finance ministry officials should sit down and work out an action plan as soon as possible. CM YS Jagan directed to recruit the police posts regularly as per the activity.

The review meeting was attended by DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy, Finance Ministry Special CS CS Rawat, Women and Child Welfare Chief Secretary AR Anuradha, Water Resources Chief Secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar, Medical Health Chief Secretary Muddada Ravichandra, Social Welfare Secretary MM Nayak, College Education Commissioner Pola. Higher Education Council Chairman K Hemachandra Reddy, Home Secretary Harish Kumar Gupta, GAD Secretary (Services and HRM) H Arun Kumar and other senior officials were present.
