TSPSC Group 1; Check Exam Date, Cut-off criteria, Practice Tests
TSPSC has announced that 50 candidates per post will be selected for the main examinations. Currently, 25,150 candidates from across the state will be eligible for the notified 503 Group-1 jobs. TSPSC will select candidates on merit basis in the categories of Multizone, Rule of Reservation, Gender, EWS, Disabled and Sports in the selection process as well.
Group 1 2022 Cut-off Marks
After the formation of Telangana state, changes were made in the selection process with the new zonal policy introduced with the intention of giving jobs to local candidates. With this the Group-1 cutoff marks will be different in each zone and in each category. There are two multi-zones in the state. The cut-off marks are the same in each multi-zone. Similarly for reservations, the cutoff marks according to gender are different. Over 3.5 lakh applications have been received for Group-1 jobs.
Experts say that candidates need to practice more rigorously as the competition is high and the cutoff determination also varies zone-wise. TSPSC has already clarified that the prelims marks will be considered only up to the selection of the main exams and will not be considered in the final ranking.
Multizones are assigned based on the locality of the candidates. Selection for Group-1 Mains in this order is based on two multizones. Candidates are then selected by enforcing SC, ST, BC, EWS reservations, disability, sports reservations as per Rule of Reservation. Thus the cutoff marks are different in each zone. For example, the marks of the candidates selected in the BC-A category in Multizone-1 are not the same as the marks of the candidates selected in the BC-A category in Multizone-2. Similarly, the cut-off marks in each zone will be different from rest of the categories.
Candidates are vying for Group-1 jobs for the first time since the formation of the separate state. It is learned that TSPSC has issued notifications in late April for the recruitment of 503 Group-1 category posts in various government departments. TSPSC revealed that 3,80,202 candidates had submitted their applications by the end of the application process on June 4.
Of these, 2,28,951 were males, 1,51,192 were females and 59 were transgender. There are 6,105 in the disabled category and 51,553 in government employees. It seems that an average of 756 people are competing for each job.
