Heavy Rains in Hyderabad for the Next Three Days: Schools May be Closed

Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have been experiencing heavy rainfall due to low-pressure systems in the Bay of Bengal. Today, the effects have extended to Hyderabad, with heavy rains impacting key areas such as Madhapur, Malkajgiri, Tarnaka, Shaikpet, LB Nagar, Sagar X Roads, and Malakpet, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.

According to reports, the rains are expected to persist until October 18. Several districts in the state have been issued yellow and orange alerts for the next three days, and the public is advised to avoid flood-prone areas and stay safe from waterlogging.

In Andhra Pradesh, schools have already been closed for two days due to the rains. If conditions worsen or persist, schools and colleges in Hyderabad are also likely to declare holidays tomorrow, October 16.
