The application deadline for recruitment of TS Police SI and Constable posts has been extended to May 26 at the request of the candidates. A single candidate can apply for any number of posts. It is known that a notification issued for the recruitment of 16,614 police posts.
The notification has been issued for recruitment in the following categories -
- SCT PC Civil and / or Equivalent: 15,644 Posts
- SCT SI Civil and / or Equivalent: 554 Posts
- SCT PC IT & CO / Mechanic / Driver: 383 Posts
- SCT SI IT & CO / PTO / ASI FPB: 33 Posts

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board has advised the following precautions to be taken while applying online. The board clarified that changes cannot be made once applied and there is no edit option. The board advised to click on the submit option only after verifying all the details entered in the application form. The board said the candidates should be held responsible for the mistakes made in the applications.

The Board clarified that applications should not be made over the phone at all. The board advised to apply through computer or laptop. The board suggested giving a single phone number to all posts applying. The board clarified that different phone numbers were not given to different posts at the time of application. The board said 95 per cent of the posts would be allotted to locals.

Only 5 per cent of the vacancies will be eligible for candidates from other states in the non-local category, the board said. The board also said there was no rule requiring all vacancies to be applied for at once. The board revealed that candidates can apply for any post anytime till the last date. However, the board said that all posts should be applied for under the same user ID.
The Board has revealed that height of 160 cm is sufficient for tribal candidates. The board explained that candidates from other categories should have a height of 167.6 cm. The board gave a resolution on age relaxation. The board said the age limit does not apply to central government jobs.

The board explained that only State Government employees can have an age relaxation of up to 5 years based on their service. The board further explained that age relaxation does not apply to employees of Electricity, Municipality, Local Bodies and RTC. The board further clarified that candidates who have been convicted by the courts in any case are ineligible to apply for police jobs.
Issued warnings that cases would be registered if false details were entered at the time of application. Yet made it clear that they would be disqualified. The board further said that strict action will be taken against them as per law.
