Earlier, a single bench judge had directed the addition of marks to four disputed questions in the TS police constable recruitment examination. This order was challenged by already-selected candidates, leading to the Division Bench's intervention.

High Court Orders Completion Within a Month:

The Division Bench not only quashed the earlier ruling but also directed the Police Recruitment Board (PRB) to complete the selection process within four weeks. They also ordered an independent expert committee to evaluate the disputed questions and make a final decision.

Relief for Disgruntled Candidates:

This comes as a relief to many who filed petitions against 23 questions in the August 30th Constable Mains exam. Petitioners, represented by lawyers Ramesh Chilla and NS Arjun, cited untranslated questions and poorly framed options as grounds for their claims.

Confusion Settled, Reselection to Follow:

Following the initial single-bench judgment, PRB had announced results based on awarding marks for the disputed questions. This created uncertainty among those initially selected. Fortunately, the Division Bench order brings clarity and sets the stage for a revised selection process based on the expert committee's findings.
