JEE Main 2025 Session-2 Application Dates Announced: Check Session-1 Exam Analysis

Response Sheet & Answer Key Release
With the completion of the January session B.Tech entrance exams, NTA is expected to release the response sheet and answer key by February 1 or 2. This will help students evaluate their performance before the final results are declared.

Students who appeared for the January session shared their feedback on the difficulty level of the exam:
✅ Physics: The first shift was relatively easy, with many questions being repeated from the last four days' exams. A majority of the questions were concept- and formula-based, mainly from the first-year intermediate syllabus.
✅ Mathematics: Considered moderately difficult.
✅ Chemistry: The easiest section, with straightforward questions from organic and physical chemistry.
✅ Second Shift: More numerical-based questions in Physics, while Mathematics and Chemistry had direct questions.

Variation in Marks & Percentile
The difficulty level of the paper significantly impacts the marks required to achieve a high percentile. In the January 2024 session, a student scoring 176 marks in a tough paper secured 99 percentile, whereas in a moderately difficult paper, 224 marks were needed for the same percentile.
For the current session:
🔹 Challenging papers: 170–150 marks may fetch 99 percentile.
🔹 Moderate papers: 180–195 marks may secure 99 percentile.
Students are advised not to panic after checking their response sheets and answer keys. Among the ten shifts, papers from January 25 (Shift-1), January 28 (Shift-2), and January 29 (Shift-1) were considered the most challenging.
