The 2021 winners of the 67th National Film Awards were announced on March 22, 2021. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the award ceremony was postponed for a year.
The National Film Awards ceremony will be on May 3 every year. However, the award ceremony was not held in 2020. The winners were announced in a press conference at the National Media Center located in New Delhi on 22nd March.
In 2021, there are 461 movies in the feature film category and 220 movies in the non-feature film category. Entries came from the 13 states that most liked movies.
The National Film Awards recognize outstanding achievements in the film industry. The ceremony is held once a year.
In 2019, the 66th National Film Awards was organized. In the 66th edition, the film "Uri: The Surgical Strike" won four awards.
