Telangana State Admissions and Fees Committee (TSAFRC) sources said that the government has to take a decision on fee hike in private engineering colleges. The fee hike will come into effect only after the release of GO.

The authorities feel that there is a possibility that CM KCR's decision will be delayed due to by-elections. The second phase of engineering counseling was scheduled be conducted from October 11. However, there is a chance for postponement as the new GO may not be expected until October 16.

Officials of the Technical Education Department feel that if the second round of counseling is postponed, the subsequent counselings will be further delayed. Keeping this in mind, the officials are planning to start counseling from October 11 and collect the same fees fixed in 2019, and if it is found that the fees have increased, then they will be charged further.
