AP TET 2022: Check Eligibility Rules, Qualifying Marks, Exam Dates
The new regulations of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) make this clear. Accordingly, once the candidates have passed the examination, they are eligible for DSC. This facility was made available to the candidates in the wake of NCTE extending the validity of TET Scores for life-time.
It is known that for the first time in the AP after the NCTE new regulations, AP TET will be held in August 2022. Applications will also be accepted online from June 16 to July 16th. For the previous TETs, the syllabus developed by the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT). However AP TET 2022 examinations will be conducted entirely from the NCTE syllabus.

AP TET eligibility rules
- The Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted under four papers (Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, Paper-2B).
- Candidates should write Paper-1A for Regular Teacher posts and Paper-1B for Special Education Teacher posts for Classes 1–5.
- Paper-2A is for regular teachers of grades 6–8 and Paper-2B is for special education teachers.
- 50% marks are mandatory for candidates who have written Intermediate after 2010.
- Intermediate candidates between 2002 and 2010 should get 45% marks. This includes 5% marks exemption for SC, ST, BC and physically handicapped.
- This only applies to those with Inter-DED qualifications. Candidates who have done the same degree-BED should have 50% marks in the degree.
- 8 types of qualification items for Paper-1A are also embedded in the aptitude.
- Those with these qualifications in the combinations of Intermediate, DEd, Degree, PG, BEd are given the opportunity to write the TET.
- Also, qualifications for 10 types of combinations for Paper-1B are announced in TET.
- Paper-2A and Paper-2B also have different eligibility criteria.

AP TET 2022 Qualifying Marks:
The previous rules will be followed as per the NCTE guidelines on TET qualifying marks. Those in General category will have to get 60 per cent marks, BCs 50 per cent marks, SC, ST, PH etc. 40 per cent marks. The validity of their certificates was previously only seven years. After that he would have to write the TET again and qualify. However, last year the NCTE changed the rule and extended the validity of the TET certificate for life. They are eligible to apply whenever the next DSC is conducted. However, candidates can re-write TET and increase their score as the DSC gives a weightage of 20 per cent to the TET marks.
AP TET 2022 Exams from August 6 .. Results on September 14
The school education department has issued a notification to conduct the TET exams from August 6. The tests run until August 21. Two sessions per day from 9.30 am to 12 noon and from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. The final results will be announced on September 14.
