IB Syllabus in AP Govt. Schools

In the AP cabinet meeting held, it has taken a few key decisions. IB Chief Business Development Officer Matt Costello and Principal Secretary Education Praveen Prakash signed the MoU.. AP CM Jagan interacted with IB officials from Singapore, Washington, Geneva and UK in a video conference. In order to make the students on par with the international standards, this decision was taken by CM. 

International Baccalaureate, IB focuses on all-round development of students. The curriculum includes a lot of extracurricular and co-curricular activities as well.


AP cabinet has taken a Arogyari, Fee Reimbursement for Retd. Govt. Employees:

AP cabinet has also taken a key decision on supporting retd. government employees. Retd govt employees' family and children will be eligible for arogyasri. Their children will be eligible for fee reimbursement scheme. They will also be given land for building home.  

Private Universities amendment bill:

Private universities amendment bill was passed by the AP cabinet. The private universities should associate with international universities as per the amendment. The students studying in these universities will be given joint certification. Amendment has been made to ensure that existing private universities and newly established private universities should tie up with the top 100 universities in the world. This allows for joint certification. If the existing private colleges are converted into universities, 35 percent of the additional seats will come under the convener's quota. It will benefit the children.

In another decision regarding education reform, Kurupam engineering college will have 50% reservation for SC students.
