TSPSC Group-1 Prelims 2023 Pattern in Offline Mode, Despite Paper Leak
TSPSC has given clarification regarding the Group-1 prelims exam 2023. It is known that the exam will be conducted completely in offline mode.

There were doubts after paper leakage incidents. The officials were od opinion to conducte prelims exam in online CBT mode. However, TSPSC has clarified that the exam will be conducted in offline OMR mode, as almost 4 lakh candidates have applied for Group-1 prelims. At present there are no necessary arrangements to conduct the examination online for somany candidates.
Balalatha Madam's Guidance for TSPSC Exams
As per given schedule, the preliminary exam will be conducted on June 11. TSPSC has released a notification on 26th April 2022 for filling 503 Group-1 posts in Telangana. The exam was conducted on October 16. A total of 3,80,081 candidates applied and 2,85,916 appeared. 25,050 candidates were selected for mains.

TSPSC Precautions for the exam:
TSPSC has canceled the prelims exam as the paper was leaked. All the exams conducted till then were canceled and rescheduled again. The government has set up a special Board of Examiners to prevent recurrence of the leakage incident. TSPSC appointed BM Santhosh as Additional Secretary and N Jagadeeswar Reddy as Assistant Controller of Examination.

TSPSC also replaced all subject matter experts who worked earlier. The question papers were designed again. TSPSC has also brought new rules for employees in the office. TSPSC has already prepared arrangements at the field level to conduct the prelims exam on June 11.

In Telangana, only 25 thousand candidates have the opportunity to write the online exam. The government is making arrangements to increase that number to 50 thousand. Computer Based Test (CBT) is conducted only if less than 25,000 to 50,000 candidates apply for any exam. The examination will be completed in two sessions and marks will be calculated by normalization method. If there are more than one lakh candidates, then the exam is conducted in OMR mode.
