Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM): A Digital-Based Science Talent Search Examination for School Students!
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, VVM is an initiative by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Ministry of Education, Government of India
National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
This national program aims to popularize science among school students of standard VI to XI by identifying “ignited minds” with scientific aptitude.
VVM Objectives:
- To create interest among students in pure science
- To provide hands-on training through workshops and events
- To educate students about India’s contributions to science and technology
- To mentor students for further education in science
- To organize exposure visits for winners to various R&D institutions
- To conduct competitive exams to identify scientifically inclined students
- To recognize and felicitate successful students at State and National levels

Important Dates:
- Mock Tests: From 1st September 2024
- Examination Date: Wednesday, 23rd October 2024 or Sunday, 27th October 2024
- Examination Time: 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM (90 minutes, one-time login)
- Result Declaration: 15th November 2024
- State Camp: 8th, 15th & 22nd December 2024 (any one day)
- National Camp: 17th & 18th May 2025

Levels of Recognition and Rewards

Level III | State Level Winners: Top 20 rankers from each class in a state. Top 3 rankers per class will be STATE winners (18 students per state). Winners will be chosen from among students appearing in the state camp. | State Camp Participation Certificate, State Camp Memento, Cash prizes (1st: Rs. 5,000/-; 2nd: Rs. 3,000/-; 3rd: Rs. 2,000/- per class), Free visit to the nearest NCSM Unit |
Level IV | National Level Winners: Top 2 winners of each class at the state level, from each state, will qualify to participate in the National Camp. Top 3 rankers per class will be NATIONAL winners (18 students at national level). Schools registering 100 or more students will have the opportunity to be part of a special show/activity if they visit the nearest NCSM Unit with a valid entry ticket.
