It is known that the state government has earlier announced to fill 582 Group-2 posts through TSPSC. However, with the recent government decision regarding changes in various job categories, additional cadres have been added to the Group-2 category. It seems that the number of posts is likely to be more than 700.

Assistant Section Officer posts under SC Welfare Department, Backward Classes Welfare Department, Tribal Welfare Departments, Juvenile Service District Probationary Officer posts under Women and Child Welfare Department, Assistant Section Officer posts in various government departments have been included in Group-2 category. Currently there are more than 120 posts in these categories. In this order, it seems that the notification has been delayed in order to issue an announcement simultaneously for all the posts that have been linked with the change in level to the posts specified by the government.
