The Telangana government has prioritized conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) before the DSC exam. This aims to ensure candidates have the required TET qualification before applying for the DSC positions.

The School Education Commissioner, Devasena, has announced the schedule for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in Telangana. It's important to note that the Department of School Education (DSC) has recently released a notification for filling 11,062 teacher positions in the state, with the application process already underway and scheduled to conclude on April 3rd. However, it is mandatory to qualify in the TET to be eligible to sit for the DSC exam.

TS TET 2024 Important Dates:

Exam Dates: May 20th - June 3rd, 2024
Application Window: March 27th - April 10th, 2024
Official Notification Release: March 20th, 2024 (on the School Education Department website)

Candidates without TET qualification, such as BEd and DEd candidates, will not be permitted to write the DSC exam. In light of this, the government has prioritized conducting the TET before the DSC to afford eligible candidates the opportunity to take the DSC exam.

TS DSC 2024 Application Deadline Extended

In consideration of this sequence, the application deadline for the DSC has been extended, and applications will now be accepted until June 6th. The DSC exam is scheduled to be held online from July 17th to July 31st.

TET for Existing Teachers: Arrangements will be made for currently employed government schoolteachers to participate in the TET. Details regarding this process will be announced soon. Approximately 80 thousand teachers are expected to take the TET, as it has been made mandatory for teacher promotions.
