University of Lincoln India Scholarships 2023- 24

The University of Lincoln’s India Scholarship is designed to help students from across India to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. The India Scholarship is offered as a tuition fee discount against the cost of a postgraduate taught programme commencing in 2023/24.

Scholarship Amount

The India Scholarship is valued at £4,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies.

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the India Scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:

Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, India.

Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September/October 2023 or January/February 2024.

Have been awarded, or be expected to receive, one of the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution with a minimum grade of 2:2 or equivalent.
  • A Pre-Masters qualification from a recognised institution with a grade comparable to a 2:2.
  • A Master’s degree from a recognised institution with a merit grade or equivalent.

Please note that this scholarship is competitive and will only be awarded to candidates who meet / exceed the criteria listed above for the award.

Upon close of the scholarship deadline, a panel will meet to assess each scholarship application carefully and will endeavour to notify all candidates of a decision within 10 days of the application closing date.

Students are required to write a 300 word statement which demonstrates your current and future potential for excellence in both academia and personal endeavour. As part of your answer, you may wish to consider the following topics:

Student's career aspirations and the role of your University of Lincoln studies in working towards this

  • Full / Part time work / volunteering experiences and how they have benefited you
  • Prizes, awards or commendations you have received
  • Any other noteworthy achievements which demonstrate excellence

Applications for the Lincoln Global Leaders Scholarship must be received by;

For a Programme of Study commencing in September/October 2023:

  • Round 1: Friday 10th March, 2023
  • Round 2: Friday 9th June, 2023
  • Round 3: Friday 4th August, 2023

For a Programme of Study commencing in January/February 2024:

  • Round 1: Friday 6th October, 2023
  • Round 2: Friday 10th November, 2023
