Allahabad HC Demands Original Documents in NEET Anomalies Case!
The court also directed the petitioner to present all her original documents. This order was issued by Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan in response to a petition filed by Ayushi Patel, a NEET-UG 2024 aspirant from Lucknow. The bench emphasized the seriousness of the matter due to its impact on the future of aspirants, according to the government’s counsel.
Ayushi Patel's counsel argued that her result was not generated due to a torn and damaged Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet. The petitioner requested the court to instruct the Union government to initiate an inquiry against the NTA and to halt the finalization of the counselling process.

Senior advocate S.B. Pandey, representing the Union of India, asserted that there were no discrepancies or anomalies in the NEET-UG 2024 results. The court noted that all numbers in the petitioner’s application form matched except for the middle digit, where the original application form had a 3, and the petitioner's provided details had an 8.
Upon questioning, the NTA counsel requested and was granted three days to obtain complete written instructions from the NTA. The court ordered the NTA to produce all original documents from the petitioner's application form through to the declaration of results, including email communications with NEET.
The petitioner is also required to present all original documents enclosed with her petition.
