Common University Entrance Test (CUET) from the academic session 2022-23!!

UGC announced that Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be conducted for admission into Undergraduate programs from the academic session 2022-2023 in all UGC funded Central Universities.

As per UGC notification, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission in Undergraduate programs from the academic session 2022-2023 in all UGC funded Central Universities will be conducted in 13 languages namely Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

UGC also notified that the CUET may also be adopted by the State/ Private / Deemed to be Universities. Detailed structure of CUET UG will be made available on NTA website Application for CUET UG will be available in the 1st week of April 2022. A large number of Central Universities have also confirmed their participation in the CUET - 2022 (PG), the details of which will be available on the NTA website shortly.

According to the UGC chairman CUET 2022 will most likely be conducted in the first week of July. Admission to undergraduate courses in UGC-affiliated Central universities will be based on the CUET score. Students who are in class 12th have to appear for an entrance test as per their respective subjects. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. CUET is expected to carry multiple choice questions based on NCERT textbooks and students will be marked negatively for incorrect answers. The entrance shall have Section 1A, Section 1B, general test and domain-specific subjects.
