Summer Interns
Tata Steel invites bright young minds from various premier institutes to its plants and offices across the country during summer. These youngsters are fondly referred to as ‘Summer Interns’.
At an average over hundred students from engineering and management institutes who are about to progress to their final year of study are selected for summer internship by a combination of written tests, group discussions and personal interviews.

Pre Placement Offer (PPO)
In the group of Management Trainees, approximately 80% will be selected through the PPO route after the end of Summer Internship. Those who accept the PPOs are accorded a monthly stipend in the final year of their study.

The Tata Steel Management Trainee Programme continues to attract and offer exciting career options to young engineers who are from amongst the best colleges of the country. To ensure a steady pool of technically competent Engineers and Business Managers for the future, Tata Steel’s management trainee Programmeme has recruited a large number of trainees from Premier institutes across India.
