Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise, is one of the largest transmission utilities in the world. POWERGRID wheels about 45% of the total power generated in the country on its transmission network. It has consistently maintained the transmission system availability over 99% which is at par with the International Utilities. POWERGRID has also diversified into Telecom business.
Selection process:
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24,900-50,500/- and after training Rs 11.0 lakhs per annum.

- Objective Type-
- It consists of two parts – Part- I, Part- II.
- Two hours duration
- Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test (TKT) with 120 questions having specific questions in your discipline. e.g - If the candidate has applied for ET - Electrical, then questions shall be from electrical discipline.
- Part-II consists of Executive Aptitude Test (EAT) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency, data interpretation of graphs/ charts/ tables and numerical ability etc.
- All questions carry equal marks. Wrong and multiple answers would result in negative mark of 1/4.
- As it is a competitive exam conducted national wide, one must be very thorough with the technical concepts of their respective course of study.
- Those candidates who qualify in the Written Test as per the criteria decided by the Management will be short listed for Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
