Job guarantee for RIEstudents

Teachers, whowill design the career of students, can shape their future by studying in Regional Institutes of Education.
Regional Institutes of Education are set up by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi to deliver best possible teacher education across India and get recruited easily.

To get admission in these RIEs, candidates have to take up and qualify in Common Entrance Examination (CEE) – 2020.

Depending on RIE the following courses are offered:
  • B.Sc.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated) – all RIEs except Shillong
  • B.A.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated) - all RIEs except Shillong
  • M.Sc.B.Ed. (Six Year Integrated) – Only at RIE Mysuru – Open for all IndianStates / UT Students
  • B.Ed. (Two Year) – All RIEs
  • M.Ed. (Two Year) - all RIEs except NERIE, Shillong

Eligibility:
B.Sc.B.Ed. Course
  • In B.Sc. B.Ed. there are two groups. i.e., Physical Science Group and Biological ScienceGroup and the duration of the course is 4 Years.
  • Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed with Physics,Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (B stands for Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level.
  • Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University / Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating Universities of the RIEs.
  • Only the Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing / appeared in 2020 are eligible to apply.

M. Sc.B. Ed. Course
  • In M. Sc. B.Ed. there are three separate Courses. i.e., M. Sc. B.Ed.- Physics, M. Sc. B. Ed.- Mathematics and M. Sc.B. Ed.-Chemistry and the duration of any of these Courses is 6 Years.
  • Candidates seeking admission to this course must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) at +2 level.
  • Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec. / Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University / Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC / ST / PwD candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating Universities of the RIEs. In this course, aggregate marks means that the maximum of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Statistics will be considered for CEE Ranking.
  • The course contents related to M. Sc. B. Ed. Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics are equivalent respectively to course content in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics included in the syllabi for the same subjects in B.Sc. (PCM) and M.Sc. (Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics -respectively) of University of Mysore, taken together.
  • The course content related to educational components in M. Sc. B. Ed. (Physics / Chemistry /Mathematics - respectively) are equivalent to that of B.Ed. of University of Mysore and in addition, contains Professional Education components required for teaching of Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics - respectively at senior secondary level. This degree is equivalent to
  • M.Sc. and B.Ed. degrees of University of Mysore.
  • The students who pass this course are considered eligible to pursue Ph.D. degree in Mathematics in compliance with Ph.D. regulations of University of Mysore.
  • Only the Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec. / Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing / appeared in 2020 are eligible to apply.

B.A. B.Ed. Course
  • Candidates must have passed +2/ Hr. Secondary/ Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science and Commerce streams or in Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC / ST / PwD candidates).
  • Only the Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec. / Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing / appeared in 2020 are eligible to apply.

B.Ed.
Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Science / Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Social Science / Humanities / Commerce are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC / ST / PwD candidates).

M.Ed.
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. Programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PwD Candidates) in the following programmes / courses from any University / College / Institute recognized by affiliating universities: 1. B.Ed. 2. B.A. B.Ed. / B.A.Ed. / B. Sc.B. Ed. / B. Sc. Ed. 3. B.El.Ed. 4. D.El.Ed. with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts / Science / Commerce (With 50% marks in each).

Syllabus
  • Language Proficiency indicating specific areas like comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the sentences, finding out equivalent meaning to the given phrases, finding out suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing, grammar which includes synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles.
  • Teaching Aptitude will cover specific areas like attitude towards education, children and teaching profession; interest in teaching; leadership qualities & group management; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills; and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education.
  • Reasoning Ability indicating specific areas like verbal non-verbal reasoning, missing numbers, number series, letter series, theme finding, jumbling, analogy, odd one out, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement and conclusions, syllogism, logical problems, establishing relationships.

Job opportunities
Through campus placement activity, the institutes provide opportunity both to employing organizations as well as young professional aspirants. 100% students get opportunity through campus placement. They can get recruited in the state government schools as well as CBSE schools as preference is given to them. As there are limited seats, candidates have to prepare with commitment and dedication to get recruited.

The institutes also offer merit scholarship up to 50% of students and others are eligible for various other scholarship schemes.
