APPSC Group-1 Mains Postponed; Check New Schedule
APPSC has postponed the group-1 mains scheduled to be held from April 23 to 29 to the first week of June. These exams will be held from June 3 to 9. Group-I Mains had to be postponed as 2022 UPSC Civils interviews were announced from April 24 to May 18.

Around 25 group-1 candidates from AP are appearing for UPSC civils interviews. Due to these interviews, APPSC has decided to conduct Group-1 Mains in June. APPSC member Salambabu stated that the mains has been postponed keeping in mind the future of the candidates selected for civil interviews.

APPSC Group-1 mains details
➤☛ The second stage main will be conducted in seven papers in fully descriptive mode.
➤☛ Exam time for each paper is 3 hours.
➤☛ Telugu and English language papers are considered as qualifying papers only. Minimum passing marks for OC candidates is 40 percent, EWS category candidates 35 percent; BC, SC, ST candidates should score 30 percent marks. Remaining papers of only qualified candidates will be evaluated.
➤☛ Paper-1 consists of General Essay (contemporary topics of regional, national and international importance) for 150 marks.
➤☛ Paper-2 will be on AP, Indian History, Culture and Geography for 150 marks.
➤☛ Paper-3 will be conducted on Polity, Constitution, Governance, Law, Ethics for 150 marks.
➤☛ Paper-4 Economy, Development of India, Andhra Pradesh will be held for 150 marks.
➤☛ Paper-5 will have science and technology and environment topics for 150 marks.
➤☛ Candidates will be selected for the final stage interview based on the marks obtained for the total of 750 marks in these five papers.
