Hike in MBBS Course Fees in Telangana Medical Colleges!
The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) is planning to increase fees in private medical colleges. The government has to take a decision on this. Fees will be revised as soon as permission is received from the government.

The government has decided to revise the fees of MBBS and PG medical courses every three years. Previously, the fees were revised at a rate of 5% every year, but this has now been changed. According to sources at the health university, the fees will be revised this time around. The fees for medical courses in private colleges are already in the lakhs, and it is expected that they will soon increase even further.
Different fee for each medical college:
Previously, all medical courses in the state had the same fees. However, this will change in the future, as each college will now have its own fees. This applies to MBBS, PG medical, and other medical courses.

In this regard, the Technical and Academic Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) has estimated the revision of fees after examining college-wise audit reports. It is known that the committee has prepared and submitted college-wise fee hike proposals to the government. The government will take a final decision on the fee hike issue based on these proposals.
Possibility of increase up to 20 percent:
According to reports, some private medical colleges have requested a 20% increase in fees for MBBS courses, while others have asked for a 10%, 5%, or no increase at all. The current fees for A-Category (Convenor) seats are Rs. 60,000, B-Category seats are Rs. 11.55 lakhs, and C-Category (NRI) seats are Rs. 23.10 lakhs.

The fees for PG courses in private colleges are as follows: A-Category - Rs. 7.5 lakhs, B-Category - Rs. 28 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh. For BDS courses, the fees are: A-Category - Rs. 45 thousand, B-Category - Rs. 4.2 lakhs, and C-Category - double of B-Category. The fees for B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, BAMS, BHMS, Homeopathy and Paramedical courses also vary from college to college.
