WORD ORDER

The placement of a specific word in a sentence could mean differently in each place. You can see how the meaning changes when you move the word ONLY to a different place.
  1. They want the report only on bond paper. (Nothing except on bond paper.)
  2. Only they want the report on bond paper. (Not us, only they want it.)
  3. They want only the report on bond paper. (The report should be on bond paper. Other things can be on any paper.)
