Many people do this easily. But there are some confusion areas in this usage. When using not only... but also in a sentence, parallelism should be the goal.అంటే రెండు భాగాల్లో ఒకే భాషా భాగం (Part of the Speech) ఉండాలి దీని అర్థం ఏమిటంటే,not only తర్వాత ఒక verb వస్తేbut also తర్వాత కూడా verb రావాలి.
Eg. Ramana works in an office during the day. In the evening he drives a Uber cab. Ramana not only works in an office during the day but also drives a Uber cab in the evenings.
పై రెండు వాక్యాలకు కర్త ఒక్కరే కాబట్టిsubject తో వాక్యం మొదలైంది.
కానీ ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తుల గురించి చెప్పేటప్పుడు, మనం subject తో మొదలు పెట్టలేం.
Eg. Ramya dances well. Rekha also dances well.
Not only Ramya but also Rekha dance well.
ఈ రెండు వాక్యాల్లో కర్తలు వేరే, కానీ చేసే పని ఒకటే అని గమనించండి.
Sharmila held the teaser's collar. She also slapped him hard.
Sharmila not only held the teaser's collar but also slapped him hard.
I found it difficult to answer those questions. My classmates too found it difficult.
Not only I, but also my classmates found it difficult to answer those questions.
Look at the below given sentence:
Going to a movie with the family gives not only entertainment but develops an emotional bond as well.
We have not used also with but. Instead, as well is used at the end. Thus, you can take some freedom, if you are confident about your usage.
