Sajjanar, an IPS officer, unfurled the national flag and addressed the employees, promising that the posts of conductor and driver would be filled in the near future. With 1,325 diesel and 1,050 electric buses already in the pipeline, the company needs additional personnel to operate them efficiently.
The free bus travel scheme for women has been a huge success, with over 27 lakh women using it daily. To ensure smooth operation and cater to the increased ridership, more drivers and conductors are required. While the specific date for the notification release is not yet known, Sajjanar assured that it will be "soon."

Karunya Recruitment: The process for recruiting 813 conductors under the compassionate appointment scheme, Karunya, has already begun. Appointment letters will be handed over to them by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Sunday.
RTC Constable Training: A batch of 80 RTC constables is currently undergoing training and will join duty in the first week of February.
