JEE Main 2024 Key Released: Record Applications, Results Date Announced!

The JEE Main 2024 session 1 exams were conducted on January 24, 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2024. The provisional key has been released today. Check direct link here.

The National Testing Agency conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 Session 1 India on 24 January 2024 (Paper 2A: B.Arch. & Paper 2B: B.Planning) and on 27, 29, 30, 31 January 2024 and 01 February 2024 (Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech.) at 544 Centres located in 291 Cities across the Country (including 21 Cities outside India).

The Provisional Answer Keys of Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.) and Paper 2B (B. Planning) along with the Question Papers with Recorded Responses have been uploaded on the website https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/. for interested candidates to submit challenge to the Provisional Answer Keys (if any) online by paying non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) per question challenged.

Duration of Answer Key Challenge: 06 February to 08 February 2024 (up to 11:00 PM). If challenge(s) made by the candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Keys, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/nonacceptance of his/her challenge. The Keys finalized by the Experts after the settlement of the challenge will be final.

Record-breaking Applications and Attendance:

12,31,874 applicants: This is the highest number ever, representing a 27% increase compared to the previous two years.
High attendance: 95.80% and 75% of registered candidates appeared for paper-1 and paper-2 respectively in the first session.

Increased Competition and Exam Centers:

More competition: Due to the high number of applicants and attendance, expect intense competition for JEE Main 2024.
More exam centers: To accommodate the increase, NTA has set up 544 centers in 291 cities for the first session.

New International Exam Locations:

First-ever expansion: For the first time, the exam will be conducted in 3 additional international locations: Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Oslo.
Total international centers: Now, 21 centers will be available abroad, offering wider accessibility.

JEE Main 2024 Second Session Schedule Change:

Revised dates: The second session exam dates are now April 4-15, instead of the initially announced April 1-15.
Application deadline: Applications for session-2 close on March 2.

JEE Main 2024 Session-1 Results and Answer Key

The provisional key is expected to be released today. Candidates can raise objections after checking the initial key. The first session results and final answer key will be released on February 12th. If a candidate appears in both sessions, the higher score will be considered.

JEE Advanced and Seat Allotment: Top 2.50 lakh candidates based on merit and reservation will qualify for JEE Advanced. Others will be eligible for counseling and seat allotment in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
