According to AICTE rules, it is sufficient for B.Tech students to have between 152 to 160 credit points by the time they complete four years of study. But JNTUH says that there should be 160 credits.
Generally students with two backlogs in engineering are given 0.15% of total marks i.e. 9 marks as grace. However, in view of the latest situation, the VC revealed that it has been decided to increase the grace marks to 0.25 percent and combine them with the total marks. It means that about 15 marks will be added as grace marks. It has been clarified that the increase in grace marks will be applicable only for the current academic year. He said that exams will be conducted for students with backlogs in December.
