PJTSAU Admissions 2024: Notification for Agricultural, Veterinary, Food Technology Courses Released

Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) has issued a notification for admissions to various agricultural courses, including Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries, Horticulture, and Food Technology.

Admissions will be based on the ranks obtained in the Telangana EAPCET–2024 (Medical and Agriculture) exam for those who have completed their Intermediate BiPC. The duration of the Veterinary Science course is five and a half years, while the other courses are four years long.

PJTSAU Admissions 2024: Colleges and No. of Seats

• Agriculture Colleges:

  • Locations: Rajendranagar (Hyderabad), Polasa (Jagitial district), Aswaraopet (Bhadradri Kothagudem district), Palem (Nagarkurnool district), Warangal Urban district, between Sircilla–Siddipet, Adilabad, Thornala (Siddipet district).
  • Total Seats: 615 (plus 227 self-finance seats).

• B.Sc. (Veterinary) Colleges:

  • Locations: Rajendranagar (Hyderabad), Korutla (Jagitial district), Mamunoor (Warangal Urban district).
  • Total Seats: 184.

• B.F.Sc. (Fisheries) Colleges:

  • Locations: Pebberu (Wanaparthy district) - 28 seats, Muttukur (Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh) - 11 seats for Telangana students.

• B.Sc. (Horticulture) Colleges:

  • Locations: Rajendranagar (Hyderabad), Mojarla (Wanaparthy district), Malyala (Mahabubabad district).
  • Total Seats: 200 (plus 34 self-finance seats).

• B.Sc. (Community Science) College:

  • Location: Saifabad (Hyderabad).
  • Total Seats: 38 (plus 5 self-finance seats).

• B.Tech. (Food Technology) College:

  • Location: Rudrur (Nizamabad district).
  • Total Seats: 25 (plus 5 self-finance seats).

All courses' payment seats will also be filled based on the Telangana EAPCET ranks.

Important Dates

• Last date for online application fee payment: August 17, 2024
• Last date for online application submission: August 18, 2024

Fees

• Application Fee: Rs. 1,800 for OC and BC candidates, Rs. 900 for SC and ST candidates.
• Tuition Fee:
  • Agriculture, Community Science, Food Technology courses: Rs. 46,550
  • Veterinary courses: Rs. 63,260
  • Fisheries courses: Rs. 48,130
  • Horticulture courses: Rs. 46,710
• Payment Seats:
  • Agriculture: Rs. 10 lakhs
  • Horticulture: Rs. 9 lakhs

Special counseling will be conducted for payment seats.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: As of December 31, 2023, general candidates must be between 17-22 years. SC and ST candidates can be up to 25 years, and PH candidates can be up to 27 years. For the Veterinary course, general candidates must be between 17-25 years, and BC, SC, ST, and PH candidates can be up to 30 years.
• Reservation: 25% of seats in Veterinary colleges and 40% in Agriculture and Horticulture courses are reserved for children of farmers with at least one acre of agricultural land. The land must be in the student's or their parents' name, and the student must have studied in a non-municipal (rural) area for at least four years up to intermediate. For B.Sc. Community Science courses, 40% of seats are reserved for rural students.
